Why most people don’t understand Bitcoin
It is super hard to discuss Bitcoin with any layman or noob.
They have no concept of “what is money”
Most people have never thought about the meaning of “money”.
Most people are too busy in their day jobs and other random things the modern world throws at them (netflix, instagram or tiktok). They have this vague idea that money is currency notes or gold but would be unable to define it. The concept of money is neither intuitive not taught in schools (it should be).
They are not red-pilled yet
Most people have full confidence in textbooks and intellectuals who write them. Most people also believe that PhDs in economics or medicine doctors or wall street brokers cannot be wrong and mainstream media exists to report news. This logic leads to an entire belief system that governments and institutions are infallible. Ergo, most people read newspapers instead of random twitter handles, invest in index funds and follow the mainstream food guidelines and health advice like “breakfast is the most important meal of the day.”
They have no idea how bitcoin OR blockchain works
This is not an accident. Most people have put exactly 0 hours to understand what is blockchain or how bitcoin actually works. They have no reason to learn about it. Mainstream media tells them that this is “too volatile” and is probably “a currency used by crooks”.
Ego gets in the way
Being ignorant is no crime but not accepting one’s ignorance is (how shall I put it delicately) - MORONIC. Staying to choose ignorant instead of actively pursuing knowledge is not something most people would do.
That is why most people would never be able to accumulate even a single bitcoin.
“People always get bitcoin at the price they deserve”
